Just Like Maria

This collection is inspired by the virginal martyr, St Maria Goretti. At only twelve years old she was brutally murdered yet gave forgiveness to her assailant at her death. Her hope was to meet again in heaven. Taking inspiration from her symbol, the lily, the colours of white and green are representative of her purity and youth. These pieces are also named and created with her character in mind, being a pure, faithful, steadfast and patient child of God.

These pieces were sparked by the inspiration of the Samaritan woman, St. Photina. The earthy brown resembles the depths of Jacob's Well, as St. Photina drew out a new depth of faith and love for Jesus. In contrast, the blue in this collection is representative of the living water and new life that Christ offers. May these earrings be reflective of new depths of faith and quenched thirst found in Jesus.
