“Embracing the feminine genius” created “for such a time as this”
We are a platform for women, by women, living out and sharing our mission and vocation through the following...
The Feminine Genius
The idea of the “feminine genius” focuses on Pope John Paul II’s letter to women. It speaks of what it means to be a woman in our time and the dignity and rights of women in light of God’s word. The letter expresses an appreciation for women and gives thanks to each woman and her womanhood.
“…the Church desires to give thanks to the Most Holy Trinity for the 'mystery of woman' and for every woman for all that constitutes the eternal measure of her feminine dignity, for the 'great works of God', which throughout human history have been accomplished in and through her.”
Womanhood enriches the world’s understanding of others as it is women who make relations more honest and authentic. We were made in God’s image and likeness, made through love, by love and to love.
Our Mother Mary
“The Church sees in Mary the highest expression of the "feminine genius" and she finds in her a source of constant inspiration.”

Our womanhood is significant as exemplified through Mary. She embodies the receptivity, sensitivity, generosity and maternal nature of the feminine genius. When Mary uttered the words to the Angel Gabriel “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. Be it done to me according to thy word”, her fiat, in other words her ‘yes’ to God displayed her obedience and acceptance of God’s will. Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth is a humble servant of God, who lives for the service of others. She devotes herself through a service of love. For Mary, “to reign is to serve, her service is to reign”.
As the letter states it is time to “bring out the full truth about women”, there is a call for all women to finally understand what it truly means to be a woman through God's truth and not by what the world tells us or by the standards that the world creates. This blog is for all women who do not know the truth of their beings, who are still discovering their identities. It is for women who are searching for more, for women who want to give more. It is our mission, our calling, our nature, written in our hearts to love and to embrace the feminine genius.

Esther
Queen Esther was a beautiful and brave woman who was guided by God and allowed herself to be instrumental in saving her people. The root of Esther is ‘Hester’ in Hebrew, meaning “hidden”. Though an ordinary woman, she won favour by the King not just for her physical beauty but from the beauty within her. The “thread of grace” that was bestowed upon her allowed for her to save the lives of others. While approaching the King meant risking her own life, the “thread of grace” enabled her to save the lives of others.
Queen Esther faithfully carried out her mission and purposed God’s will for her life, for through Him she believed and was triumphant in her battle. With our hearts set for heaven and our eyes fixated on God, what is there to be afraid of? When both our human will and the will of God align, there is nothing that can stop us from reaching that destination that God has promised us.
“Perhaps you have come to the throne for just such a time as this”
